The Sycamore Canyon Conservation Foundation is committed to
the conservation, protection and appreciation of the Sycamore
Canyon Preserve natural open space.
Residents and guests are encouraged to enjoy this
special area of the Upper Sonoran Desert.

Located in the foothills of the Santa Rita Mountains in southeast Tucson,
Arizona, Sycamore Canyon Preserve is approximately 1,100 acres of natural
open space surrounding the planned community of Sycamore Canyon.
The Sycamore Canyon Conservation Foundation, a private
non-profit entity created by the master developer of the Sycamore Canyon
master planned community, is affiliated with the Community Foundation
for Southern Arizona and governed by a Board of Directors.

The Foundation is maintained through contributions from the master
developer and the homebuilders. In addition, a small percentage of the
homeowners association dues is dedicated to maintaining the preserve.
Under the stewardship of the Foundation, residents are assured that
the land will never be modified, changed or infringed upon.

Sycamore Canyon Preserve is a place for residents and guests to
learn more about our desert environment including:
A trail system for hiking
A sponsorship of desert ecology education programs
Demonstration gardens to teach rain water harvesting techniques
Plant species markers
Miles of quiet desert landscape

The Foundation supervises, manages, and maintains the Sycamore
Canyon Preserve. It works with biologists, landscape architects,
environmental educators, naturalists and ecologists to:
Retain the area's native state
Regenerate whatever is damaged in
the construction process
Provide stewardship for the land
Educate visitors & nurture the belief that people can
co-exist with their natural neighbors
